This is the first project in my life when I was still a young undergraduate student in China.
In the winter holiday of 2007, I cooperated with my friend, Hou, who is from China Academy of Art to create this visual art work of new media. It is a 3D LED lamp matrix controlled by a very cheap 89C52 MCU. They compose the dynamic image of a walking people in 3D space.
I would like to show my computer workspace here. I have one DELL notebook which connected with two monitors running Linux as well as windows.
The small Thinkpad ultrabook is from my company. You can see my second generation tele-operation robot on the left desk. The desk on the left is not shown completely in the photo. It is 2.5 meters long.
I use it as my hardware workbench and build it like a home Lab. I bought most of my electronic elements, hardwares, tools and equipments from China. You know how about the price of those things in EU.
I spent a lot of my spare time here working with my intereting personal projects including robots, sensor based systems and sensor networks. This is a good way to go through the 6 months long dark winter of Sweden.
Course Project “Stuff guarder” is a simple device that can remind you when your private stuff is moved by others.
It also can remind you to get back your bank card after drawing money from a ATM machine.
It is implemented by a self made TI MSP430 experimental board with light sensor and accelemeter sensor. It is easy and simple.
The main purpose of this project is to learn how to use the sensors data in a smart way even very limited number and type of sensors.
